Wabash Valley Audubon Society (WVAS) is an official chapter of the National Audubon Society (NAS). NAS has played
a major role in wildlife conservation worldwide for over a century now. WVAS, founded in 1961, has over 300 members located in Clay, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo counties
in western Indiana. Our members are primarily interested in birds and birdwatching, but we have a wide range of other
interests as well, including mushrooms, lizards, spiders, wildflowers, recycling and conservation - just about any topic related to Nature and the
environment. At the local level, we are active in environmental education and conservation issues. We welcome both
beginners and experts, and hope you will join us at one of our monthly meetings or field
trips.
